"Westwood Mill. Linthwaite. Huddersfield"

This is probably the oldest mill in the Colne Valley and dates back to the late 18th century.

She sits proudly flanked on either side by the river Colne and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Most mills in the area were purpose built by rivers and canals as water was a valuable source of power in those days.

This valley once echoed with the sound of rattling looms. But sadly no more.

But even in her state of decay, she truly is a beautiful sight to behold.
